The description field for both timesheets and time off requests has a five character minimum. We use a lot of acronyms that I end up having to spell out. Also, "sick" is an invalid entry for time off since it's only four characters.

I am not supportive of this option. My vote would be to add characters, not remove them.

Hi Robert,
Actually the five character minimum has been strongly suggested by our users. They found it annoying when employees are just recording their timesheets only having PM's trying to understand what each of them have done. Please have a chat with some PM's of your team, I suspect you'll get a couple who'll support this Kompass feature. For the sick leave, ppl can just add "sick.". That'll do the trick.
I'm placing it "under review" so that we'll investigate whether we can provide the option to our customers to choose whether they want this or not.

No worries. You can close it if people have requested the minimum. Really just confirming that the minimum was not arbitrary.
